Finally I got round to preparing the garden for spring. I cut down big dead plants, left them on the beds, dug out a few weeds, spread well-rotted donkey manure, some wood ash and BRF on top. Looks very neat.
We had ice and then snow in thepast two weeks. I thought I had lost my chance. But last night it rained on the snow so it melted and temperatures rose to 7 degrees. 9 degrees today.
I will have to continue tomorrow morning, before everything freezes again.
